Who We Are

The Namibia Special Risks Insurance Association (NASRIA) Ltd is the only insurer in Namibia which provides cover against damage to property and consequential loss caused by, among others, riots or civil commotion, strikes, lockouts and labour disturbances. Our company also covers damages from acts to overthrow or influence any state or government or any local authority with force or by means of fear, terrorism or violence, acts with a political objective to bring about socio-economic change, or in protest against authority or for the purpose of instilling fear in any section of the public.

What are special risks?

Special Risks refer to unique or uncommon risks that are not typically covered by standard insurance policies. These risks are often specific to certain industries, activities, or circumstances and may require specialized insurance coverage. Special risks insurance is designed to provide coverage for these non-standard or unusual situations.

Can the loss limit be reinstated if exhausted during the period of insurance?

NASRIA Ltd liability is limited to the sum insured stated on the policy, up to a policy limit and the policy limit cannot be reinstated.
